frozen sandbar and low tide allow new camera install. site tests begin. 1/20/24
A few good NW howlers, and the tide could not make up into GC making easy work of the camera rework. A design flaw also allowed Bay water into a junction box (water always wins!). Repaired for now.
March 1 - Mallard squatters have appropriated the platform for early egg production.
March 3 - Geese eating one of the now 4 duck eggs in the nest.
March 5 - Crows finished off another 3 duck eggs last night.
March 17 - Mother goose insists on using the osprey nest.
March 19 - Removed three goose eggs to our protected nesting tubes on the shoreline.
March 19 - Placed crab trap on platform
March 20 - Goose still on edge of platform. Mallards competing for a sliver of the nest.
March 21 - Osprey have return.
March 29 - Last of mallard nest moved to another platform.
April 11 - Last of goose eggs out of nest.
April 13 - Pair staying in cove most days now.
